We really thank God we found each other.

We met in January 2020 while studying CPA at a college in the city's CBD. I sat in front of Tabitha in class at first. We used to communicate before class to encourage one another and catch up on prior lessons. We would occasionally trade bites that we would bring to the evening class, such as peanuts and kashata, among other things. Ann and Cyprian, two of our classmates, would join us in our hangouts.

She moved away for a bit just as I was about to ask her out because her mother had recently passed away. After the funeral, two of our friends and I went to her house to console her.

When she returned to school at the end of February, we would have broad discussions about education, work, and life at school, which piqued her curiosity.

As a result of the government imposing a curfew, school was closed and we all returned home. Tabitha called me one day at work, but I didn't answer. I called back, and she had also missed the call. We got to chat at length after a succession of missed calls, and that's when I revealed my intentions.

We started dating in April at the height of Covid. We call our love ‘Covid love’ since we started dating at this point. We made sure we saw each other no matter the situation. It has always been blissful to have each other by the side, we especially love to walk, tell stories and dance. We continue to learn a lot about each other.

A time came when we decided to take the next step in our relationship. We started our traditional processes in May and I proposed on 01/06/2021 .

Our traditional wedding took place in July 2021. And soon after we started the wedding preparations.. . As we started dating we had laid down a few rules. One of the rules was that we shall have our union officiated in church. We had and continue to receive a lot of support from our family and friends in planning for the big day and our marriage. We have put in the work in our relationship and we know now we are one. “this will be an everlasting love” . We really give God all the glory and honour for bringing us together. Till we get old and forever love, peace and joy shall we experience.

We wish Tabitha & Morris a beautiful journey as they begin their union.
